Our project partner Aalborg University (AAU), represented by Hamilton Delaney Løhde Miller, presented research results from the ELECTROLIFE project at the SIMS 2026 Conference, held in Eskilstuna, Sweden, on 16-17 September 2026.
Founded in 1959, the Scandinavian Simulation Society (SIMS) promotes the advancement of modelling, simulation and optimisation across a wide range of scientific and engineering disciplines. SIMS 2026 brought together researchers and industry experts to discuss the latest developments in modelling, simulation and optimisation for engineering applications.
The conference programme featured technical and industrial sessions, keynote presentations, poster sessions and discussions on emerging methods and technologies, providing a valuable platform for knowledge exchange between academia and industry.
As part of the event, AAU contributed a conference paper and oral presentation entitled “Modelling Degradation of PEM Water Electrolysis Cells”. The work addressed the challenges associated with understanding and predicting the long-term performance of proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis systems, supporting the development of more durable and efficient hydrogen production technologies.
AAU’s participation at SIMS 2026 provided an opportunity to disseminate ELECTROLIFE research results, engage with the international modelling and simulation community, and strengthen collaborations within the field of sustainable energy technologies.
