We are proud to share that our partner ULILLE published the first ELECTROLIFE article titled: “Power loss tracking for the PEM electrolyser using Multiphysics dynamical bond graph model” in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
This study presents a bond graph model-based method to track power losses in Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysers operating under intermittent renewable energy inputs. The approach addresses the challenge of efficiency degradation caused by fluctuating power supply and material wear. A sensitivity analysis demonstrates how the model responds to variations in key parameters, offering insights for design optimization and performance prediction.
Overall, the proposed method provides a diagnostic and prognostic tool for improving efficiency, lifetime, and reliability of PEM electrolysers in renewable hydrogen production systems.
